New Delhi: The newly constituted National Executive Committee of the Editors Club of India (ECI) formally took oath at the India International Centre, Lodhi Road. On this historic occasion, senior editors, journalists, media thinkers, and academicians from across the country were present.
National President Amitabh Agnihotri stated that when editors unite, truth gains new strength. ECI announced its commitment to prioritizing media ethics, journalists’ safety, editorial independence, and freedom of expression.
The organization also revealed plans to establish ECI chapters in every state and to introduce initiatives like the Editors Honor Award to promote integrity and truth in journalism.
The National Executive comprises 32 prominent journalists and editors. This event is being seen as a significant step toward ushering in a new era in the Indian media landscape.
