Dear Colleagues,
The path we have chosen and the journey we are undertaking is not only for journalism, but for the progress of society itself. In today’s times, when pressure and influence on the media are increasing from all directions, it is imperative that we ensure the preservation of our independence and impartiality. This club is not merely an organization; it is a movement, a voice that represents every editor, journalist, and writer who has the courage to walk the path of truth.

We know that the role of journalism has become more crucial today than ever before. Without media, the foundation of society and democracy weakens. But can we truly say that what we see today is genuine journalism? Can we say that our newspapers, our television channels, and our digital platforms are fulfilling the role they are meant to play? These are questions we must ask ourselves every day, and the answers lie in our resolve and our collective efforts.

The objective of the Editors Club of India is to re-establish that form of journalism which safeguards truth, remains independent, and works in the interest of society. Every member of this club will not only understand their professional responsibilities, but will also recognize that the true strength of journalism lies in its independence, its impartiality, and above all, its commitment to truth.

Our organization will make every editor feel part of a community. We will ensure that we not only learn from one another, but also become each other’s strength. We must understand that our work is not limited to publishing news; it is about bringing before society those issues that are deeply connected to the lives of people. We are not merely a bridge of communication, but a force that can bring about meaningful change in society.

The purpose of our club is not only to protect the independence of editors, but also to work towards ensuring fairness and transparency in every aspect of journalism. We want to collectively make the impact of journalism felt within society. We will raise issues that are often ignored and work to carry the voices of the most marginalized sections of society to the forefront.

Our goal is not confined to writing and editing alone; through our club, we aim to build a strong media network across the country. Through our combined efforts, we will give journalism a new direction, and every editor will gain a clear sense of their role and responsibility. We must always remember that the true purpose of the media is to bring about change in society.

We possess strength—and this strength comes only through unity. Let us all come together to use this strength in the interest of society and give journalism a new form.
