The organization will resist any form of pressure, censorship, blackmailing, or direct or indirect suppression in editorial decisions, considering it an attack on the fourth pillar of the nation. The mission is to build an India where editorial independence is not merely an ideal, but an implemented national standard.

National War on Disinformation

In today's digital world, misinformation is one of the greatest challenges to democracy. Therefore, ECI commits to establishing a National Anti-Disinformation Command Centre, where AI-enabled fact-checking systems, verification protocols, and real-time support for editors across the country will be available. This centre will analyse disinformation networks active across social media, digital portals, print and television media, issue reports, and work towards providing the citizens of India with a fact-based media environment.

Editors Protection and Legal Security Act Movement
